The History that Made Us Today

Fred and Linda Andrews opened Andrews Motor Repair in 1977

We have been a family owned and run business for over 40 years.  We’ve been located at 21 Jordan Crescent since 1977.  Before that Fred owned a small shop on Water Street downtown Charlottetown.

Over the years Fred Andrew’s reputation for quality workmanship and good customer service has carried them through various changes throughout the industry.  In 1985, their son David began working as a machinist in the business learning the trade and carrying on with his father’s customer relationships.   He has since begun running the business alongside his wife, Paula.  Fred is still very much hands on with many technical aspects of the business and continues to work well into his 70’s as this is his passion and what keeps him young.

When you become a customer at Andrews Motor Repair, you become part of our family.  We take great pride in the quality of our work and strive to perfect our craft every day.

This photo was taken before our building on Jordan Crescent was even built taken over 50 years ago.  You can see the old train tracks that were still in use and is currently the Confederation trail as we know it today.

Motors of all sizes are nothing new to Andrews Motor Repair.  Fred Andrews rebuilding / rewinding a large electric farm duty motor.  There isn’t a job too big or too small for our skilled team.

Meet our staff with over 100 years of combined experience!  Left to right – Oliver, Fred, Paula, Alex and David.
